Introducing the NEW EmCyte PurePRP TWO PRP System

As the field of Orthobiologics gains greater traction as a therapeutic class of products, and as more and more studies confirm the need for greater platelet doses [1,2,3], the need to have the most efficient way of producing a sample becomes more and more relevant.

The current market has a variety of PRP systems: some much more capable than others. EmCyte has long been the top performing system available in terms of its ability to capture platelets and deliver a customizable injectate for a variety of pathologies.

To quote the great Steve Jobs: “Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower”.

Despite long being the market leader in PRP cell capture, PLYMOUTH MEDICAL has always strived to improve and deliver best in class products  Which has led to this: The Introduction of the New and Improved PurePRP TWO Double Spin System:

Separator Device: Subtle changes to the design of the first tube simplifies processing significantly. Removing the pipe stops platelets sticking, does away with the need to flush the lines and prevents the pipe from potential kinks.

Concentrator Device: The second tube which concentrates the platelets into the pellet / buffycoat has also had a redesign. Again, the tubing has been replaced and the times and speeds have been revalidated to capture more platelets while simplifying processing.

The overall larger bore of the tubes (Separator Device + Concentrator Device) changes the physics of the cell separation which - combined with changes to the spin times and speed - allows us to capture a greater percentage of platelets.
